Not a water dog
The weather in Chicago continues to be gorgeous so the little waterways at the park aren't frozen as usual. Billy dipped his paws into one of them and then remembered that he's not terribly keen on getting wet. When given half the chance, he likes to do zoomie butt-tucks to recover from the shock of getting wet (after baths, after rainy walks...). Unfortunately, on the end of a leash there wasn't much scope to zoom but he gave it a good try and whirled round and round in circles until we were both dizzy and sat down in the warm sunshine to recover.
He might be pretending to be all calm and serene but you can see his ear is still flopped over from his exertions.

Lola is the same way, she is not a fan of water. She use to be afraid of the sprinklers and would walk around them. She finally grew out of that about a year ago.
ReplyDeleteI love that photo! Hes so handsome!
ReplyDeleteTurk does the same thing! Billy is so handsome...I just want to squish his face and give him kisses!
ReplyDeleteYou've been Liebster'd (again)! Love to Billy and his momma :)
ReplyDeleteMaize is the same! She really does not like water at all and to get over getting wet (even a few drops) zoomies occur.
ReplyDeleteHeidi's not a water dog either :)
ReplyDeleteoh my gosh, this sounds just like desmond! he humors us for a bath but wants to GET OUT OF THERE very quickly when it's over. he also isn't much of a fan of swimming either, and that's kind of a bummer.
