Monday's baby step
Today's mini-step to becoming waste-free: opting out of yellow pages. You can visit www.yellowpagesoptout.com to find out which directories you're eligible to receive and to opt-out of them all in one fell swoop. I don't know how effective it will be and since I live in one of three apartments in the same building maybe my neighbors will continue to get them and leave them moldering on the doorstep. (But to be honest, I didn't type in an apartment number hoping that would make it stick for the whole house...)
